TESTIMONIAL

Bas van Berkel
Nationality: Netherlands
Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Delft 1997
Before I came to Ivey I worked as a partner of "Pijlhove Bouwmanagement", a boutique consulting firm, specialized in contract management, based in Amsterdam.

Ivey is a great place to do your MBA. It has the best professors in North America and takes a proactive approach to improving the learning experience year after year. The case method and the small class size encourage the in-class discussions which is the basis for learning at Ivey. Being in a medium size city like London also provides the opportunity to make friends for life because everybody lives nearby.

From a European perspective, the program has an attractive price, because of low tuition fees and low living cost. Partners who come to Canada can work and are actively involved in the school. Finally, I can recommend every European to experience the MBA program first hand. It will definitely exceed you expectation - it sure did mine.

ABOUT THE CITY

London, Ontario, known as the Forest City, is just 2 hours west of Toronto, midway to Detroit, Michigan. London is home to a broad range of industries from insurance, brewing, food processing and information technology, to military vehicle production. It is also a source of life sciences and biotechnology research, much of it spurred by the University of Western Ontario.
There is much to experience in London, including arts and cultural events. Big band legend Guy Lombardo is from London and this city has kept its pulse on the music scene with many popular concerts at the John Labatt Centre, symphonies by Orchestra London and a vibrant pub scene that entertains local bands. The city is also home to The Grand Theatre, the London Regional Art and Historic Museum and hosts many special events focused on the visual and performing arts.
London boasts some excellent sports facilities and has often hosted Canada-wide sporting events. Several major athletes have come out of this region, including hockey player Eric Lindros and rower Marnie McBean. London is also home to the award winning London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. London has fabulous parks and green spaces and is close to lovely beaches on Lake Huron, one of the great lakes.
