Daniela Popescu, Lawyer, Montreal MBA

TESTIMONIAL

Daniela Popescu
Lawyer
Nationality: Rumanian
I left Romania to start a new life here in Canada and continue my studies. I had worked as a lawyer for three years in Romania, and as a legal advisor for the Ministry of Transport. Although my background is in law, when my brother-in-law shared his great experience in the John Molson MBA and recommended it to me, I came to the realization that I wanted to further my studies by doing an MBA there.

I applied to the John Molson MBA because it's very flexible in terms of choosing desired courses, and gives new students the option of entering the program at four different times per year. The reputation of the School is strong in Montreal, Canada and abroad and the quality of the students and professors is very high. Staying in Montreal as a new arrival in this cosmopolitan city has also been wonderful. Montreal's many European style terraces and summer festivals are delightful! There are also dazzling Christmas events and decorations in the winter.

I began as part-time student, while working at IBM. Towards the end of two semesters, I decided to pursue my studies on a full-time basis to benefit from the program more fully; not solely as a learning experience, but also for the networking opportunities that it presents. I've had the chance of taking some courses at other universities, and this made me appreciate even more how friendly, supportive, and professional the John Molson MBA students actually are. My enthusiasm for the program keeps growing and I have become involved in student life, as VP Academic for the MBA Society. If you want to study in Canada, the John Molson MBA Program is an excellent choice. The students and professors make you feel warm and very welcome, and your many friends support you during school projects, and also during weekends, when fun activities abound!
